Founder & Certified Mediator
Theodore C. Edwards, II is a seasoned commercial litigator with more than three decades of experience handling complex disputes across North Carolina. His practice focuses on construction litigation, business disputes, affordable housing matters, and environmental litigation. In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Edwards is a certified mediator who helps parties resolve disputes through structured, practical negotiation.
Mr. Edwards is known for providing early, candid, and accurate assessments of his clients' cases. He believes that understanding both the risks and opportunities at the outset allows clients to make better strategic decisions — whether that means pursuing litigation or resolving a matter efficiently.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Edwards is an ordained pastor who leads a BSF class, has served on church staff, and has been a deacon and member of a church council and board. This dual calling informs his approach to church legal services and faith-based dispute resolution.
After three decades in the courtroom, I founded Cornerstone Legal to practice law the way I have always believed it should be done — close to the client, honest from the very first conversation, and grounded in the values that have guided my life. Whether I am representing a business in a complex dispute, helping two parties find a fair path forward, or counseling a church through a difficult season, my goal is the same: to be a steady foundation when it matters most.Theodore C.
